Number of Mexicans Living in Poland

Some of the most common questions that our readers ask us either by email or by our Facebook page are: Are there many Mexicans living in Poland? What do they do there? These questions are a bit difficult to answer, although we know many Mexicans who reside or visit Poland, we do not know all our compatriots who visit this country (But we would love to do so).

Number of Mexicans residing in the world

The Institute of Mexicans Abroad has published statistics on how many Mexicans live outside of Mexico. At the end of 2017 there was a record of 11,848,537 Mexicans in total residing in another country*.  Of this number, more than 95% reside in the United States.

The 10 countries that have more Mexicans residing in the world are:

  1. U.S.A
  2. Canada
  3. Spain
  4. United Kingdom
  5. Germany
  6. Bolivia
  7. Netherlands
  8. Brazil
  9. Argentina
  10. Costa Rica

Not counting Mexicans residing in the United States – 328,204 (2.77%) Mexicans live in another country. Of this number, 53% are women and 47% are men. The American continent is the region with the most Mexicans, followed by Europe.

Number of Mexicans in Europe

Strictly speaking of Europe, there are 119,030 Mexicans in this continent *. The 5 countries with the largest number of Mexicans in this continent are:

  1. Spain
  2. United Kingdom
  3. Germany
  4. Netherlands
  5. Italy

57% are Mexican women living in Europe, and 43% are men. 46% of Mexicans residing in this continent are professionals or employees. The average age of Mexicans is 35 years.

From 2009 to 2017 there has been a population growth of 115% of Mexicans residing in this continent.

Number of Mexicans in Poland

In the case of Poland, at the end of 2017, there was a registry of 553 Mexicans residing in this European country *. In the last eight years, the Mexican population in Poland has doubled from 245 to 553 Mexicans.

Unlike the total number of Mexicans residing in the world or on the European continent, 64% of Mexicans living in Poland are men, and 36% are women. The average age of Mexicans is 35 years.

67% of Mexicans are employees or professionals, 23% students and 7% are housewives.

Regions of Poland with More Mexicans

Comparing with the official migration register of Poland. In this country there are only 463 Mexicans who currently have valid documents that allow them to remain in Poland. According to this portal, the majority of Mexicans reside in the regions:

  1. Mazowieckie (150 Mexicans)
  2. Małopolska (81 Mexicans)
  3. Dolnośląskie (50 Mexicans)

The regions of Lubuskie, Warmińsko-Mazurskie and Podlaskie are the regions that have fewer Mexicans, with 2 inhabitants each.

Number of Mexicans in Poland Increases Year by Year

During the last years there has been a constant increase of Mexicans living in Poland, which makes us very happy because Poland is an excellent country to visit or to live.
