More discounts for public transportation tickets in Warsaw

Starting from October 1, 2016, more people will gain access to discounts for public transportation tickets in Warsaw.

That is good news mainly for students: 50% discount will be also available for:

• PhD students studying at Polish universities
• Students of foreign universities (i.e. tourists visiting Warsaw)

Until now, they were only entitled to discounts for long-term tickets (1-month, 3-month etc.). If they were buying short-term tickets (e.g. for 20 min), they had to buy it for a normal, full price.

So, if you are an international student visiting Warsaw, you will be able to buy a ticket with a 50% discount, given that you present a valid student ID from your home university.
