Starting from October 1, 2016, more people will gain access to discounts for public transportation tickets in Warsaw.
That is good news mainly for students: 50% discount will be also available for:
- PhD students studying at Polish universities
- Students of foreign universities (i.e. tourists visiting Warsaw)
Until now, they were only entitled to discounts for long-term tickets (1-month, 3-month etc.). If they were buying short-term tickets (e.g. for 20 min), they had to buy it for a normal, full price.
So, if you are an international student visiting Warsaw, you will be able to buy a ticket with a 50% discount, given that you present a valid student ID from your home university.
